Introduction to the Intelligent Application Manager
The Thinkwise Intelligent Application Manager (IAM) provides authorization, analysis and user preferences for applications developed by the Thinkwise Software Factory.
You can create users and user groups manually or import them from the Active Directory. User groups can be assigned to roles that have been created in the Software Factory. The roles define the required rights for a specific task. In addition, you can define preferences for users and user groups, such as themes, menus and prefilters.

The runtime components of the Thinkwise Platform interpret the model from the Intelligent Application Manager together with the authorization settings and user preferences. This creates a personalized application for every user.
To maintain privacy and security, the available actions and processes in IAM are determined by administrative roles. For more information, see the guide Administrator roles.
